Business Analyst – GRM Global Tech Enablement

Job Title: Business Analyst – GRM Global Tech Enablement 
Division: GRM Technology
Location(s): Ireland: Digital Working Model - primarily remote working with option of spending 2 days per week in office location (Blanchardstown or Cavan)

In this role you will:

  • Take the lead on running workshops, gathering requirements to help solve some of the most exciting problems for our business partners
  • Liaise with product owners and industry leaders to drive product definition
  • Collaborate with Scrum Masters, Product Owners and DevOps engineers to iteratively create technical solutions that meet business and technical requirements
  • Create personas and document customer journeys / business flows
  • Decompose product features into appropriate formats; user stories, acceptance criteria and team backlogs
  • Collaborate with digital experts across disciplines to innovate and deliver digital solutions
  • As part of the agile team, contribute towards effort estimations
  • Validate that functional and non-functional requirements are appropriately implemented for a product
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within your area of influence
  • Research the latest digital trends, best practices and technologies 
  • Work as part of an innovative team, acting as a strong advocate for continuous integration, continuous delivery, quality assurance, and test/process automation

This role might be for you if you have:

  • At least 3 years’ experience as a digital Business Analyst
  • Experience imagining, designing and collaborating on the implementation of market-leading products across one or more technologies and business sectors
  • Experience with requirements elicitation techniques
  • Interviews, questionnaires, user observation, workshops, role playing, prototypes
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills
  • Experience working on agile projects
  • User story writing and acceptance criteria
  • Maintaining a team backlog at the sprint / iteration level
  • Experience with design thinking methodologies
  • Personas, customer journey mapping, voice of the customer
  • Experience creating User story mapping
  • An interest in honing processes and evaluating new tools 
  • Insurance industry knowledge an advantage

Highly competitive applicants will have:

  • Extensive experience working in Agile squads 
  • The drive, ability and desire to learn new concepts quickly
  • Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps or equivalent
