Payroll Administrator

Job Title: Payroll Administrator – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Department: Finance
Reports: Payroll Manager
Location: Cavan


Job Summary

The primary objective of the Payroll Administrator is to assist with the processing of the monthly payroll & all employee related payment elements & deductions. Communication with staff, management and statutory bodies to resolve all pay related queries in a timely & efficient manner. Reports need to be created, reconciled and issued to various parts of the business which outline payroll reporting data.


Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Process & administer monthly payroll
  • Complete reconciliations between the Core HR Payroll system & various payroll inputs
  • Ensure that the company complies with various statutory obligations
  • Apply a consistently high level of confidentiality & discretion when dealing with individual’s staff pay
  • Adhere to all internal & external controls ensuring a high standard of diligence is applied
  • Process data received from Revenue in a confidential manner & complete the necessary filing obligations within a required timeframe
  • Work to strengthen & improve existing practices & strive to implement more efficient processes to the daily tasks benefiting team performance



  • Ipass qualification desirable
  • Payroll qualification


Experience & Knowledge

  • Previous payroll experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
  • Ability to work independently and provide guidance to colleagues as required
  • Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
