When we refer to ‘Liberty Insurance’ or ‘we’, we mean Liberty Seguros Compania de Seguros Y Reaseguros S.A., with its registered address at Paseo de las Doce Estrellas 4, 28042 Madrid, Spain, registered as a branch in Ireland (t/a Liberty Insurance) with Irish branch number 904632 and branch address at Dublin Road, Cavan. Co. Cavan, Ireland. 

Terms and Conditions of Liberty Insurance pilot scheme offering customers the opportunity to receive and trial for a 12-month period, a smart home leak detection device (‘LeakBot’) as a Liberty Home insurance customer. This offer is provided in conjunction with our Emergency Home Repair service.

These terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) govern this offer of the opportunity to receive and trial for a 12-month period, a leak detection device, LeakBot.
 
Our Emergency Home Assistance provider is MAPFRE ASISTENCIA Compania de Seguros y Reaseguros SA trading as MAPFRE ASSISTANCE Agency Ireland and MAPFRE WARRANTY (‘MAPFRE Assistance’) with an address at Ireland Assist House 22-26 Prospect Hill Galway.

MAPFRE ASISTENCIA Compania de Seguros y Reaseguros SA trading as MAPFRE ASSISTANCE Agency Ireland and MAPFRE WARRANTY is authorised by the Direccion General de Seguros y Fondos de Pensiones del Ministerio de Economia y Hacienda in Spain and is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland for conduct of business rules.
 
LeakBot is an artificial intelligence leak detection device  manufactured and supplied by HomeServe Labs Limited, Cable Drive, Walsall, England (‘Homeserve’), a non-European company registered in the UK, company number 08442778 and a separate company to Liberty Insurance. LeakBot is a trademark of Homeserve.
 
The LeakBot device is being provided by this third party company, Homeserve. Liberty Insurance, Homeserve and Mapfre Assistance are three separate companies and by ordering the device directly from Homeserve, you will be consenting to their terms and conditions which can be found here.

This offer of providing you with an opportunity to trial the LeakBot device is being brought to you in conjunction with your existing Emergency Home Repair benefit provided by MAPFRE Assistance on behalf of Liberty Insurance.

Eligible Customers

To be eligible for this offer you must have an active Liberty Insurance home policy which was purchased via our call centre or online. Your policy must have access to Emergency Home Repairs benefit which comes as standard with policies that have both buildings and contents cover.

Your policy must cover your private residence home address. Rented properties (landlord or tenant), apartments and duplex properties are excluded from this offer.

To receive this offer you must have opted in for marketing contact via email or text from Liberty Insurance.
 
Terms and Conditions of the Offer

You will be required to sign up with LeakBot/Homeserve directly via their website to obtain the LeakBot device.

Homeserve offer the LeakBot leak detection device for sale with a subscription charge for access to repair services. Those charges and terms relating to such charges in the LeakBot terms and conditions do not apply to this offer as Liberty Insurance is completing a pilot with Mapfre Assistance to determine whether in the future, Liberty Insurance might introduce a smart leak detection unit to our home insurance policy.
 
Homeserve will share data generated by the LeakBot device and LeakBot app (see below) with Liberty Insurance and Mapfre Assistance. Liberty Insurance will use this data provided to understand the impact of use of leak detection devices on escape of water claims and to understand how customers interact with alerts. Our Home Emergency Assistance provider may also use the data to assist in identifying the source of a leak with as little intrusion as possible.  

  1. There is a maximum of 2,000 LeakBot devices available as part of this offer. This offer will expire on April 9th 2021 or once all LeakBot devices have been claimed, whichever is earlier. There is no purchase cost for a LeakBot device for an eligible customer who signs up to this offer before its expiry. 
  2. To sign up to receive the LeakBot device, you need to do so on LeakBot’s website directly via the link included in the email which will bring you to the third party website. LIBERTY INSURANCE WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONTENT OF THE HOMESERVE/LEAKBOT WEBSITE.
  3. You will be prompted to provide your name, address, telephone number and email address to LeakBot/Homeserve. 
  4. The device will be posted by Homeserve directly to the address you provide to them.
  5.  You must have Wi-Fi connectivity in your home and access to a smart phone. The associated costs relating to Wi-Fi are not covered as part of this offer.
  6. To use the LeakBot device and receive leak alerts you will need to download the LeakBot app from either android or IOS app stores (‘the LeakBot app’). There is no purchase price for this LeakBot app.
  7. You must install and activate the LeakBot device within 28 days of receiving it. Activation means that you have installed the device, downloaded the LeakBot app and are receiving notifications. 
  8. If you do not activate the LeakBot device within 28 days of receipt, you will not be able to participate in this pilot.
  9. The LeakBot device will remain active  from the date you activate your device for a period of 12 months, so long as during that 12 month period (i) the Liberty Insurance home policy existing at the time you receive this offer remains active and (ii) you have Home Emergency Repair benefit which comes as standard on policies with both buildings and contents cover.
  10. If it is necessary to provide you with a replacement device and you were not able to activate the initial device provided to you, the 12 month activation period will run from the date you first successfully activate a replacement LeakBot device provided to you. If it is necessary to provide you with a replacement device after you activated the initial device provided to you, the 12 month activation period will run from the date you activated the initial LeakBot device provided to you.  
  11. If your policy is no longer active during this 12-month period, access to the monitoring information provided by the LeakBot app and the Emergency Home repair services ceases.
  12. If you are unable to resolve a leak yourself, you can contact Emergency Home Repair on 1800 209 300. If an engineer call-out is required, this will be dealt with under the terms and conditions of your Emergency Home Repair benefit. There are a maximum of 4 call outs per year with a limit of €260 plus vat per visit.   13. The use of a LeakBot device will not impact on your ability to make a claim on your policy of insurance. All terms and conditions of your policy remain unchanged. 
  14. Liberty Insurance is responsible for the offer of the opportunity to receive and trial the LeakBot device only. Liberty Insurance aim to assist you in queries or issues you might have in installing the LeakBot device or LeakBot app, however as manufacturer and supplier of the LeakBot device, Homeserve is responsible for any problems you might have with the LeakBot device or LeakBot app.
  15. LIBERTY INSURANCE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGE CAUSED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY BY THE LEAKBOT DEVICE OR LEAKBOT APP OR ANY ISSUES WITH FUNCTIONALITY OF THE LEAKBOT DEVICE OR LEAKBOT APP. This does not affect your rights under your home insurance policy. 
  16. Liberty Insurance will not use information gathered during this trial to make individual underwriting decisions about your policy. 
  17. HomeServe is the data controller of the data processed by the LeakBot app and LeakBot device and is therefore responsible for making decisions about how and for what reason that data will be processed, including making decisions relating to keeping that data safe and secure. LIBERTY INSURANCE CANNOT GUARANTEE AND IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SECURITY OF THE LEAKBOT APP OR DEVICE.
