How we're helping our staff at this time

The health and safety of our employees and their families comes first.

In times like these, at Liberty, we strive to do the right thing and act responsibly, doing everything in our power to ensure the health and safety of our employees and their families. We go beyond the recommendations issued by the health authorities:

  • Before the imposed lockdown, our entire workforce, 2,000 employees in Ireland, Portugal and Spain, were already working from home. We also cancelled all of our face-to-face meetings and business-related travel.
  • We have provided secure remote access to our VPN to all external service centre staff, to make sure that we continue to serve our customers while staying safe at home.
  • We have provided each employee with an estimate for the purchase of ergonomic office equipment and computer tools so that they can work safely during this time.
  • The management team meets daily to update the state of the business, as do the teams, which ensure its continuity.
  • We receive regular updates about the health and safety measures that must be taken in this situation: advice regarding the prevention of occupational hazards, computer security and well-being, as well as statements from our CEO, such as the one available on LinkedIn.
  • Our managers have the tools necessary to support their teams, based on a philosophy of trust and flexibility, and meet with them each day to offer guidance.
  • We share our experience by working from home through our international social network, remaining close to our workmates, even if it is online.
  • Psychological and medical counselling services are available to our entire team to ensure their physical, mental and emotional well-being.
  • We continue to provide language classes (Portuguese, Spanish and English) online to further our training.
  • Our offices in Dublin, Cavan, Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, Oporto and Lisbon have been thoroughly disinfected to ensure our safety when we return to our daily routine.
