Getting a competitive quote for car insurance shouldn’t be a headache. So before you pick up the phone, or start filling out forms online, we’ve created this checklist to help you get a quote online quickly and easily.
Vehicle Registration Number
Your car reg contains information that details the make, model, year of manufacture, engine size and style of your vehicle. If you don't have your vehicle registration number to hand, you can enter these details manually. If you input them manually, please be aware the price may change if you input details incorrectly.
The value of your car
You don’t need a precise valuation, but an estimate based on the price you paid for the vehicle. In the event of a claim we will pay the lower amount of either the value of the vehicle as noted on the schedule of insurance or the market value of the vehicle at the time of the incident.
Estimated usage
How many kilometres will you drive annually? Base your estimate on historical usage if possible. If your speedometer is in miles simply multiply the mileage by 1.6 to convert to kilometres.
Personal details
You’ll need to provide your contact details, including your name, address, occupation, email and phone number. Don’t worry, we’ll keep your data safe and secure, as per our security and privacy policies.
Driving history
You will be asked for your licence type, the length of time you have held it, and your no claims bonus, if you have one. You will also be asked if you have had any penalty points, convictions or accidents in the last three years.
Multi-policy discount
If you or your partner have another motor or home insurance policy with Liberty, you could be eligible for up to a further 10% discount on your quote. Simply let us know and we’ll apply the relevant discount. Acceptance criteria, terms and conditions apply.
Adding drivers to your policy
If you’d like friends and family to be able to drive your vehicle, you can add up to five additional drivers to your policy. Remember to include any penalty points or convictions that the named drivers have and to obtain their consent before passing their personal information to us.
